Amanda Lomax is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist born and based in Nashville, TN. A former commercial photographer, she left the corporate world in 2016 to develop a deeper artistic practice. As an artist, her work utilizes creative applications of digital photography and sculptural objects in order to explore universal questions of being.

“I’m interested in researching complex systems within the fields of philosophy, psychology and spirituality and then alchemizing that knowledge into a visual language. Research followed by artistic response deepens my own understanding of concepts, and, creates platforms for communication with others.”

She is an active member of Coop Gallery in Nashville, a grant recipient of the 2020 Tennessee TriStar Arts Award, and a graduate of the 2018 Periscope Arts Program. She held her first solo show in Nashville at Open Gallery in 2025.
